Good Morning Elementary Division!

Thank you for making the first week of school run so smoothly. It was a great start to our school year thanks to all of you.

Here is what our week looks like:

Monday:

• 8:15 5th grade to practice dismissal procedure from the cafeteria

• 8:30 3rd grade to practice dismissal procedure from  the cafeteria

Tuesday:

• Cub scouts will be visiting during lunch time

• 3:15 gator one card field trip for faculty members that need their gator one cards.
  

Wednesday:

• 5th grade wacky wednesday

• Girl scouts will be visiting during lunch

• After school meetings begin K-2 FAIR training with Marisa and 3-5 FAIR training with Christy-places and times TBA.
  

Thursday:

• I am off campus at Camp Kulaqua with 6th grade

• 3:00 Elementary lead team meeting (Ritzy, Cary, Kelly, Angie, Amanda, Ashley, Brynn, Marisa and Amy) to discuss format for open house-please give any  feedback to your learning community team leader (Kelly, Angie, Amanda) to share with the lead team. Location: Angie's room-everyone is welcome to attend this meeting not just lead team members.

• 7:00pm boy and girl scout sign up meetings in the cafeteria.
  

Friday:

• First home football game -faculty members get in free-go blue wave!

Coming Soon/Announcements:

• Please remember to have a sign on your door indicating where your class is when you are not in the room.

• 9/7 no school -holiday!

• 9/8 PKYPTO meting 5:30pm Community Classroom
  

• 9/10 Elementary Open House 5:30-7:30pm.
  

Celebrations:

• Ting is back Monday and Ashlea will be back later this week-hip hip hooray!

• Happy Birthday to: Mayra Cordero (6th grade Science) 9/4, Andrea Zazo 9/5 and Jamie Burg (Band director) 9/6!!!!!

Happy New Year Elementary Division! It is going to be a great year and I am excited about working with you this year.

Here is what our week looks like:

Monday:

• Welcome back student celebration on the circle-please be out wearing your Happy New Year gear at 7:45am. Teachers will walk there own classes in after the Happy New year countdown.

• Grade level lunch room visits to go over expectations and practice procedures for the lunchroom. Please be on time (the schedule is back to back) and meet with me on the outside picnic tables.
  

• Times for cafeteria visits:  1st 8:20-8:50, 4th 8:50-9:20, 2nd 9:20-9:50,3rd 9:50-10:20,  5th 10:20-10:50

Tuesday:

• Happy New Year celebration for the 2nd group of kindergartners-please come out to the front circle at 7:45 if you can to help make their first day as special as the first group.

Friday:

• Kindergarten Parent Boo Hoo Breakfast at 8:00 in the community classroom

Announcements/ Coming Soon:

• Copies of the K-12 positive behavior support "B's" are in your boxes. They match the ones in the student code of conduct. Please hang them in your rooms.

• Patrols will be selling coupon books soon-buy one and support the patrol trip to DC while saving money-what a deal!

• You will see me as well as other administrators a lot in the next few weeks as we get in and out of classes K-12 to see our fabulous students and teachers in action.

• 9/10 Elementary Open House and 5th grade patrol spaghetti dinner fundraiser-yum!
  

Celebrations:

• All of you need to celebrate that you are the best faculty imaginable that cares so much for our students-it is great to work with you!

• Happy Birthday to: Kristin Weller 8/27 (elementary Math coordinator and HS geometry teacher extraordinaire!) and Kathy Robertson 8/29 (Art goddess).

Welcome back wonderful faculty and staff!

It is going to be a great year and I am very excited to be working with each and every one of you.

Here are the things going on this week:

Monday:

• Welcome Back breakfast at the Paramount 8:00-11:00
• New teacher lunch (all new hires attend this lunch) also at the Paramount
• Elementary lead team meets with Terry Scott-place TBA
• Elementary Division meeting 1:00-4:00pm PKY Community Classroom

Tuesday:

• 8:00am Breakfast/faculty meeting-our division is hosting breakfast!
• Kagan training 9:00-3:30 please plan to attend if you did not go on Thursday
• Tech support 1:00-3:00

Wednesday:

• 8:00am breakfast/faculty meeting-counselors will do a presentation-go Ritzy!
• 9:30-10:30 Elementary Lead team meets in Cary's room

Thursday:

• 8:00am Breakfast/faculty meeting
• Learning community team leaders meet with Debbie Mackintosh dean's conference room for selection of division level outside performances for the year.
• Elementary grade level teams electronically send one post WOW unit plan per grade level to Assistant Principal and Curriculum Coordinator; post on PKY website

Friday:

• 8:00am breakfast/faculty meeting-safety update
• 11:00-1:00 Meet your teacher
• 1:00-3:00pm tech support
• 4:00pm Happy Hour-place TBA
